  • Below is a list of questions that were generated during our teacher rollout-PUXI session.(Kris, Tom, Jeff, Pat 3/2/09)
    Items for clarification:
    -What is Orion's plan for the distribution of laptops? Will they come to tech integrators for checkout? Will teachers go to tech office to theirs? Would Ellen/MS,HS LMC AV Office be checking these out in the ES? Apple Care Center? There will
    -Network Printers-Can we have networked printers set up on the images per division.
    -Setting up network logins on new image
    -Model of Laptop-White Macbook vs. Metal Jacket
    -Flip Cameras/iMovie version/AVIs/Codec Plugins (rumors are imovie 09 handles avi no prob. but would like to confirm)
    -Are new teachers getting MACs before returning teachers?
    -Portal-Single Logins/Powerschool?
    -Portal training for new hires-PUXI-Monday, August 10th
    -Powerschool Training-Monica? Prior to August 11th for new Hires
    -AUP-Who presents to staff, when will it be signed. I saw May 2009 on an earlier version of the teacher rollout doc.
  • What day do members of Tech team report back to work?
  • Concerns about Groupwise on Mac (Safari or client?) - slowness
  • Puxi / Pudong: parallel inservices or deviations.
  • Tech Assessment - Can we get Atomic Tech Skills Assessment tool as part of our subscription?
  • 1:1 Laptop Learning Scenarios - Based on next year's set of online tools and installed software, can we start to sketch out what we envision a typical 7th Grade Science class looking like or an 8th Grade History class, etc. I think this will help in conveying expectations to teachers and setting clear goals for those not on the same Web 2.0 page (Tom)
